Giddy Up, GallupBy: Chairman PinnellGallup conducts literally thousands of interviews every day, 350 days a year. It’s safe to say they know polling. That’s why the latest Gallup ballot test has people talking. It shows Republicans leading Democrats by the largest spread in the history of the generic ballot. Republicans lead by seven points, 50 percent to 43 percent. This also appears to be the first time Republicans have ever hit 50 percent in the history of the Gallup generic ballot. As realclearpolitics.com notes, to put things into perspective, Democrats won 257 seats in 2008, and won the national vote by eleven points. There isn’t enough white space to walk through all the reasons why Democrats are tanking. But it’s clear that from coast to coast, the American people are done with bailouts, done with high taxes, done with an overreaching federal government. Government isn’t the answer. That being said, with 8 of the 11 statewide offices held by Democrats, we sure act like it- the state government is the largest employer in Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. We are a conservative state and deserve tested conservative leadership. We finally have an opportunity this November, from Governor all the way down the ballot-this is our chance. We either seize it or live with the consequences. Between now and then, giddy-up Gallup! LATEST NEWS: Don't forget to vote Tuesday, August 24th! Follow the link to find your polling place. How President Barack Obama fills it can tell us whether he's finally gone wobbly on Obamanomics -- maybe in time to arrest some of the damage. Would President Obama, to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, ponder whether to nominate liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg or conservative Antonin Scalia? Would his finalists come down to Sonia Sotomayor or Samuel Alito? Elena Kagan or John Roberts? Laughable, of course. Follow the link to read more. | EventsSHOOT TO WIN-AUG. 25TH- RSVP TODAY!
