[gingery_machines] Propane tank foundry

 

I have a foundry made from one of these tanks. I cut it in half in my lathe. Mounted the bottom half in my 4 jaw (using the 'ring' to center it, mounted the top end (after taking out the valve)using a pipe center in my tailstock, and used a parting tool to cut it in half. I had to run the lathe real slow, but it worked good and gave me a nice clean cutoff line.
