Dave;
Your posting left me completely side tracked for over three hours tonight. This in part due to all the fun I had in my youth building model rockets. Well as much fun as my limited funds allowed at the time.
You see what I did was type in "rocket motor calculator" into Google search. That is all it took, the next three hours where a blur. Mind you I was using my iPhone.
In my youth it was mostly Estes models, at the time I only had limited knowledge of advanced or experimental rocketry. With no Internet access back then it was all a mystery, you primed my Google Fu so now I'm out of three hours. Totally fascinating, these guys are really into it.

I input the dimensions it gave me the gas flow and approx hp(thrust). didn't really need the hp(a really small number) but the flow rate worked good. The progam gave an animation of the shape and the flow for the designs input.
