The new year's almost here, so here are a few things I hoping for in the next year.
1. May only a few beads break, and not in the middle of almost finished pieces--you know what I'm talking about, starting or ending a new thread
2. May my pets (or family members) knock over our beads a couple of times, and never something that requires several hours to resort or the use of a vacuum cleaner--I have 3 cats, and I call it "Pulling a Peter" even when I'm quilty of doing it.
3. May my designs only take a 2 or 3 redesigns before I'm happy with them, not 5 or 6 tries to get the colors right--that was my Baby Duck Beaded Crystal design this year, and that doesn't count where I was almost finished sewing it onto the crystal and a bead broke in the first row(I was beginning to think the piece was cursed when I finially finished it!)
4. May my try at selling my beadwork this year go very well!! I hope everyone else goes well too!! Sell lots of stuff, Beaders!!
5. Last one. May there be NO MORE MAJOR SNOW STORMS!! I live in Southern Minnesota, we've have 5 storm in the month of December--Snowfall records have been broken! Plus between February 1 and April 1 I don't need snow--Girl Scout Cookie Sales start, and I run the Cookie Cupboard for my area, and I don't want to be standing in a snow drift while I and a leader sort out there cookies from the big Semi-Pod that's going to be in my driveway.
Happy New Years to you all,
Mary
Now to getting a start on next year's x-mas beading, a dozen cousins--a dozen spool ornaments!
