Dear Members 1. Please take this poll At this point approx 90 percent say ....... NO ! Should babies of aliens be granted automatic U.S. citizenship? ************************************************************ 2. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-28/more-states-seeking-to-follow-arizona-s-push-for-tougher-immigration-rules.html More States Seeking to Follow Arizona's Push for Tougher Immigration Rules********************************************************** It just amazes me that Mr. Obama has the time to make a call to the Eagles owner for signing Michael Vick a convicted felon for ANIMAL CRUELTY But that he does not have the time to visit our Southern Border or to make a call to the Brian Terry Family Brian Terry has no "second chances" his life has been terminated by the crime taking place due to the INACTION of Mr. Obama Makes me wonder where Obama's priorities are..... apparently his priorities are more surrounded around sports and a convicted criminal that those who have given the ultimate price to protect our homeland. Ruthie 3. Michael Vick(notes) has been getting support from all sides during his road to redemption. He's now getting it from the leader of the free world. NBC's Peter King reports that Barack Obama called Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie earlier this week to congratulate him for giving Vick a second chance after his release from prison. According to King, the president said that released prisoners rarely receive a level playing field and that Vick's story could begin to change that. *************************************** 4. WASHINGTON — When Republican lawmakers take over the House and gain strength in the Senate after the new year, a decade-long drive to overhaul the immigration system and legalize some of the estimated 11 million undocumented migrants seems all but certain to come to a halt. When New York Republican Peter T. King takes over the House Homeland Security Committee in January, he plans to propose legislation to reverse what he calls an "obvious lack of urgency" by the Obama administration to secure the border. ********************************************************** 6.
