The consensus seems to be that 1/4" thickness is just too small. Make it
thicker and heavier. Uncle Dave changed his design by the time he got
around to the mill in book 4. He used thicker bed walls and screwed the
ways down to the bed from the top using countersunk screws into the walls,
instead of the few bolts coming up from the bottom. So I copied that
design.
If you don't have the mill book, you may want to get it to look at its bed
design.

work-in-progress but the bed came out great. The best documentation is

I don't know if it was easier :-) I probably made it over-complicated.
But it was fun to do and I am really happy with the result.
