Hi,
Probably true - the only thought was it would be good to check.
The other point is if the motor can't be switched (some can) than look for a replacement motor.
My local "scrap metal" dealer gets motors every day - many (most?) are in rathe rgood condition and some darn near perfect. I've picked up motors via eBay - however, the shipping is often a deal-killer.
Again just a thought.
Kind regards,
DBN
