Re: [gingery_machines] value of a used BP mill?

Hi,

That VFD "sounds" like a Parajust (sp?) system - they were large and needed cooling. The VFDs used SCRs and the units at a client I worked with would kick off (electronic shearpin) when it got too warm.

We added an air line to each unit to flush out the hot air - it solved the problem.

The modern units are real small, work beautifully but you may need an extra college degree just get through all of the potential adjustments and features <smile>

Kind regards,
DBN
