and your roots go back to the immigrants, I wonder how your folks would have felt if the same type of stuff was being said about them?

yep, all our origins were from uk. some free settlers, many convicts.
those who have convict ancesters are extremly proud
, as most of them were convicted of stealing a loaf of bread etc.my own come from the scottish highlands during the "clearances". we have had many migrations from many countrys since. Greek, Italian, Slav's Poles, Vietnamese, chinese etc., only one culture has steadfastly refused to assimilate.--- On Sun, 5/12/10, Sheep&Goatlady <springcreek@bentonrea.com> wrote:

Europe has been flooded with refugees from the wars in iraq and afghanistan.Scandinavia has changed it's laws to try and prevent it being as big a problem for them.Big probs in France, where getto's and demonstrations have sprung up, Italy and spain.People in Australia winge about the boat loads of refugees we get which are taken to detention centres, where they demonstrate and stage hunger strikes. however it is such a small number compared to europe. Our lawsw state that children cannot be kept in detention and must go to school. I guess we hope the education will break the cycle.
