[gingery_machines] Lathe Bed Modification - Mill bed style

 

Hi All,
I have searched the archives and trolled though photos but can't find any obvious reference to people who have modified the design of the lathe bed by making it the same style as the mill bed.

While it will take a little redesign, the clear advantage is that the amount of scraping would be hugely reduced.

Does anyone here have links or advice/suggestions/designs for modifying the bed in this way. Thanks in advance
