[gingery_machines] mm per inch

 

I took a look in my 1949 Machinist handbook to see what conversion factor was used back then. I was absolutely amazed to find that in 1949 the American inch was slightly more than 25.4 mm while the English inch was slightly less. No wonder nothing fits. LOL.
