Israel should not be fearing world opinion. Israel should be making the world fear (respect) her!!! And remember, it is the rich oil cartels who rule the world, NOT the Zionists!!

Islamic Genocide of Christians in Iraq: "religiously motivated people who engaged their victims in theological conversations about Islam"
I have been viewing reports from survivors of the massacre, posted on YouTube ( here, here and here). From these, and earlier published reports (e.g. here), a picture emerges of the jihadis as religiously motivated people who engaged their victims in theological conversations about Islam, and justified their actions based on the Islamic sharia. (Mark Durie)
Pamela, Take a look at what the Muslims doing to the Christian in Iraq everyday. Over 80 people were beheaded in a single day during a Sunday mass. The youngest one were a 4 months old baby that was beheaded front of her parents and throw the head at her mom. Can you please please please help us? We need a strong voice like yours. God bless. The Religious Character of the Massacre at Our Lady of Salvation Cathedral in Baghdad Mark Durie
It is good to note well the testimony of these survivors, because there is a view, widespread among the secular professional terrorism analysts of Western nations, that contemporary terrorism is not essentially religious in nature, but is a political movement which exploits the religion of Islam to serve what are in reality political goals.
One of the dangers of this rhetoric is that it causes the Western media to overlook or 'filter out' incidents of terrorists attacking indigenous Christians (and other religious minorities), because these attacks cannot be accommodated in the category of 'political violence'.
However there was no political advantage to be gained by killing unarmed Christian worshippers in Baghdad. It was a purely religious act. Thus, according to the survivors, their attackers:
Your Future: "A Servant of Islam"
Islam in America is at a crossroads . One path is continued confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination, and the other is the truth and beauty of the Quran. America has been struggling with which road to choose primarily because it does not know or understand the beauty of our holy teachings.
MEAC continues to bring religious education and truth to students across the country and to serve the growing Islamic schools and university departments with resources, support and guidance. We also assist educational institutions in lobbying state and national government for the autonomy and resources necessary for effective teaching of Islam.
MEAC is a servant of Islam, and may peace be upon us all.
Reader Megan wrote tipped me off to this. I googled the address of the MEAC trust -- 2100 M street suite 170 -- and the very first search result is Ground Zero mosque imam radical Rauf and the Cordoba movement here, under the Muslim Brotherhood proxy ISNA.

1. Barak Splits Labor Party, Will Remain Defense Minister by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu
Ehud Barak and four supporters are splitting the Labor party, forming a new faction and leaving Labor in shambles. He will remain Defense Minister.
Knesset Members Matan Vilnai, Shalom Simchon, Einat Wilf and Orit Noked are joining Barak in the move to a new party, which may be called "Independence."
Barak's departure represents the second time that Labor has been severely weakened under his leadership. As Prime Minister in 2000, his 18-month-old government fell apart amid unprecedented concessions to then-Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat and his order for a sudden departure of Israeli troops from the 'security zone" in southern Lebanon.
Knesset Member Eitan Cabel, one of Barak's chief critics, said that Barak and his supporters "have decided to destroy the party."
Barak reportedly informed the office of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu before leaking news of his dramatic move, which came amid growing in-fighting in the party.
Former Haaretz journalist and freshman MK Daniel Ben-Simon said last week he would quit Labor and form a new faction outside of the government coalition.
In response to the splitting of the Labor Party and Ehud Barak's formation of the new "Independence" faction, the three remaining Labor Party cabinet ministers resigned their positions one after the other today.
First to announce was Welfare Minister Yitzchak Herzog, who declared that he would run for the party chairmanship. Next was Minister without Portfolio Avishai Braverman, who made the same offer. Rounding out the three was Minister of Industry and Trade Binyamin Ben-Eliezer - a former party leader who said he would not seek the position again but would not turn it down if the party so decided. Braverman had earlier called on Ben-Eliezer to take over the party helm for the meanwhile.
The other five Labor Party members remain undecided as to their political future. MK Eitan Cabel, who met with MKs Amir Peretz, Rhaleb Majadele and Daniel Ben-Simon today, said, "The situation is truly not simple, and we hopefully will make an important decision today or tomorrow, in a well thought-out manner."
All three resigning ministers sharply criticized Barak. "For a party leader to stealthily leave the party and form another in this way is simply not done," Ben-Eliezer said. Braverman called on the Independence members to "return" their mandates to Labor and quit the Knesset.
In light of the catastrophic low to which the historic Labor Party has reached - 8 MKs who are not certain to remain in the party - Israel National News presents this list of milestones in Labor history:
January 1968 – Labor was founded upon the merger of Mapai (Workers' Party of Eretz Yisrael), Labor Unity, and Rafi into one party. Mapai, under the leadership of David Ben-Gurion, had been Israel's governing party throughout the country's 20 years of existence, after having controlled the Jewish community in the Land of Israel even beforehand via the Jewish Agency and Haganah.
January 1969 – Labor allies itself with another left-wing party, Mapam (United Workers Party), and the alliance became the Alignment.
October 1969 – The Alignment, headed by Golda Meir, wins the elections with 56 Knesset seats.
December 1973 – Three months after the Yom Kippur War, the Alignment wins the public's support for the last time in 20 years, and Yitzchak Rabin becomes Prime Minister.
May 1977 – After Rabin resigns in wake of the "dollars in U.S." scandal, the Alignment heads the opposition for the first time when the Likud headed by Menachem Begin wins the election with 43 Knesset seats.
July 1984 – Two elections later, the Alignment headed by Shimon Peres wins more seats than the Likud but fails to form a government. Instead, it agrees to a rotation government; Yitzchak Shamir of Likud is Prime Minister until 1986, and Peres follows until 1988, when the Likud wins again.
June 1992 – Rabin becomes Prime Minister after trouncing first Shimon Peres for Labor leadership and then the Likud in the national election, and announces, "I will navigate, I will lead."
September 1993 - Leading possibly the most left-wing government in Israel's history, Rabin signs the Oslo Accords.
November 1995 – Yitzchak Rabin is assassinated, Shimon Peres takes over.
May 1996 – Peres-led Labor loses election to Netanyahu's Likud.
May 1999 – Ehud Barak takes over leadership of Labor, re-names it One Israel, and wins election with 26 Knesset seats – the smallest ever for a victorious party.
January 2003 – Labor drops to 19 seats, half of the amount won by the Likud.
February 2009 – Labor continues its downward slide, dropping to 13 seats.
January 2011 – Ehud Barak and 4 MKs quit party, leaving Labor with its lowest Knesset membership ever – 8. Unclear whether all of them will remain in Labor.
The current rebellion, mayhem and ensuing violence in Tunisia serves a warning against rushing into establishing the Palestinian Authority as a new Arab country without proper security guarantees, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned Sunday.
The Palestinian Authority, which is severely split by warring factions, including Hamas and Fatah, is struggling to build institutions that would support it as a de facto state, but its security establishment has increasing been accused of turning the PA into a police state.
The fragile situation in Ramallah precludes the PA's becoming a stable country under the present circumstances, Prime Minister Netanyahu said. "We need to lay the foundations of security in any agreement that we make," he explained. "We cannot simply say 'We are signing a peace agreement,' close our eyes and say 'We did it,' because we do not know with any clarity that the peace will indeed be honored."
PA senior negotiator Saeb Erekat accused Netanyahu of using Tunisia's violence as an excuse to refuse PA demands for establishing itself as a new nation within Israel's current borders. "If there was a tsunami in Asia, a flood in Latin America or a lunar eclipse, Netanyahu would use it as a pretext not to negotiate," he said. The PA has used the term "negotiate" to mean Israel's surrender of all the land in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and that was restored to the Jewish State in the Six Day War in 1967.
The chaos in Tunisia has left dozens killed, wounded hundreds and sparked fears of similar uprising in the Arab world. Although the Tunisia rebellion was considered a psychological inspiration and may be a sign of a time bomb in Muslim countries, its explosion is not considered imminent.
Thousands of Jordanians demonstrated in several cities following the revolt in Tunisia. The protesters' calls for the overthrow of the kingdom were unprecedented but did not represent a massive upheaval. Significantly, the radical Muslim Brotherhood did not participate, and university students were not noticeable, but Arab media reported that King Abdullah surrounded his palace with tanks as a precaution.
In Tunisia, Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi said he may announce a coalition government Monday. It followed a month of protests, culminating in Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's fleeing the country for Saudi Arabia. He was the first Arab leader to be forced out of office since a coup in Sudan 15 years ago.
Corruption, unemployment, rising prices and oppression are widespread in Arab countries. Growing unrest in Greece and other European countries have been cited by many observers as a warning of what may be in store for the rest of the world where economies are suffering, regardless of whether they are democracies or autocracies.
In Egypt, activists celebrated the Tunisian rebellion, but no violence was reported. A protest of several hundred people in Yemen ended peacefully, but Algeria was stunned by a spate of suicide attempts. One man died after setting himself on fire to protest social and economic conditions.
67-year-old Benny Hesse, Director of the Haifa branch of the Hevra Kadisha burial society, was murdered on Sunday evening. Police said he was shot several times at the entrance to his home in Haifa's Ahuza neighborhood, while his wife stood beside him.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Hesse was shot by several gunmen who ambushed him when he returned to his home, shot him and fled. A team of Magen David Adom paramedics who was called to the scene tried to revive Hesse, but unfortunately had no choice other than declaring him dead.
This was not the first time that Hesse, a former teacher and senior IDF officer, had been attacked. A few years ago vandals poured acid on him. He survived that attack.
"The man was a truly righteous man and he was accepted by all streams. An amazing person. The residents of Haifa are shocked by the murder," a longtime resident of Haifa told Arutz Sheva's Hebrew website on Sunday. A former student of Hesse told Arutz Sheva: "I knew him for many years. This is a truly righteous man. It's hard for us to digest the news."
An acquaintance of Hesse added that he was "an impeccably professional gentleman. He was a man of great stature. He helped charity organizations and other activities of all kinds throughout the city. He's a role model and much will be said about him."
MK Daniel Hershkowitz, Minister of Science and Technology and a resident of Haifa, expressed his deep shock at the murder. "These vile killers took out a well-known, powerful and popular public figure," he said.
Hesse left behind a wife and four children. Police have launched an investigation into his murder, but are not providing information as to the direction of the inquiry..
The Jewish population in Judea and Samaria has reached 327,712, according to statistics that have been painstakingly and independently collected by the office of MK Ya'akov Katz (Ketzaleh), Chairman of the National Union. This number is in addition to the approximate 300,000 Jews who live in the parts of Jerusalem that were under temporary Jordanian occupation for 19 years after the Arab nations' joint invasion in 1948 and are now Jewish.
Execution of the plans that call for driving out Jews from parts of Judea and Samaria would involve evicting at least 128,000 Jews - 16 times the number evicted in the 2005 Gaza "Disengagement Plan." This number is relevant under the assumption that the larger "settlement blocs" would remain under Israeli control under any agreement.
MK Katz plans to hand out copies of a document that details this information to all Knesset members.
The data shows that the "settler" population's annual natural growth rate is 5.8% - twice that in the rest of the country.
"Since the Six Day War in which parts of the western Land of Israel were liberated, there has been an 44-year titanic struggle between those who think the Nation of Israel's original Biblical lands should become part of the State of Israel, and those who oppose this connection," Ketzaleh said. Judea and Samaria are in the geographic area of Old Testament Israel, whereas Tel Aviv, in an coastal area controlled by the Philistines for much of that period, is not.
"There is pressure from the nations of the world and natural weaknesses of a state that has known many wars and that contains some people who wish to hand over large parts of their homeland to the enemies of Israel."
"The part of the Land of Israel that represents the basic aspiration of the Jewish people over the ages, and that of the future Jewish state, is winning on the ground. We have been victorious in this struggle by the very fact that - by the grace of G-d - we put more than 650,000 Jews in the territory, with a natural growth rate of almost 6%. This is an irreversible process, because a state is unable to decide to destroy and evict hundreds of thousands of Jews who have been living there for four generations, and for three-quarters of the time that the state of Israel has existed. This number is greater than the number of Jews who lived in Israel during the establishment of the state of Israel. This is the victory of the stalwart, those who are a natural continuation of the pioneers who first returned and clung to the soil of the Holy Land."
A Maariv reporter who has apologized in the past for defaming a Jewish town in Judeaand Samaria may now have to do the same again.
The secretariat of the community of Yitzhar and the Shomron Residents Council have sent a letter to the editor of the Maariv daily, Avi Meshulam, and to Maariv reporter Yael Paz-Melamed. They threaten to sue Paz-Melamed for libel if she does not publish an apology for a recent article in which she wrote that Yitzhar is an "illegal settlement."
Just eight months ago, Paz-Melamed wrote that the town of Kfar Tapuach was illegal. After a similar letter from the relevant bodies, she was forced to apologize, writing, "In my article 'Avri Gilad in the West Bank– 'Revolution'" I wrote about his tour in the settlements there, some of them illegal, and it was mistakenly understood that Kfar Tapuach is not legal. I hereby correct that and apologize to the residents of that town, which was established back in 1978 and is a legal town."
Her original article was referring to a Shomron Regional Council tour taken by popular Army Radio and TV broadcaster Avri Gilad, after which he said that it had been an eye-opener and brought about a 'transformation' in his thinking.
The latest article by Paz-Melamed was written in light of the recent Knesset decision to investigate the funding sources of extreme leftist organizations that are accused of working against the IDF and even the State of Israel.
The Shomron Residents Council wrote that the article was "scathing[ly] full of cynicism and sarcasm," and "launched a frontal attack on settlers of Judea and Samaria and residents of the settlement of Yitzhar in particular, slander[ing] the settlement and [writing] that it is 'illegal'." Yitzhar is located between Ariel and Shechem (Nablus).
The aggrieved parties demand that Paz-Melamed issue an apology within three days, threatening that if not, the newspaper and the reporter will be sued for libel.
Yossi Dagan, of the Samaria Residents Council, explained on Sunday evening, "Over 300,000 citizens live in Judea and Samaria, by right and not because someone is doing them a favor. They were sent on a Zionist pioneering mission by the State of Israel, and no one has the right to slander or incite against them, even if he/she is a reporter... The time has come for the media to understand that the era of the 'chump settler' is over. One cannot incite against or blacken the name of the highest-quality population and that which contributes the most to the State. Every act of incitement against us will elicit a response, and every slander will result in a lawsuit."
Avraham Binyamin, spokesman for Yitzhar, said, "The community of Yitzhar was founded legally on State land by the government of Israel. The words 'Eretz Yisrael' [Land of Israel], 'Zionism' and 'settlement' are not considered obscene by the Jewish public which is soul- and value-healthy, unlike the leftist reporters who sit in the cafes built on the ruins of Sheikh Munis and Katamon and prattle on so high and mighty about the corrupt occupation."
Anti-Semitic vandals in Quebec went on a rampage Sunday and targeted four synagogues and a school, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
The assault on Jewish properties "was not an isolated affair," according to Rabbi Reuven Poupko, chairman of the local Jewish Community Security Coordinating Committee. The crimes were "an organized and systematic attack on Jewish institutional life," he told the Montreal Gazette. "These are not just crimes against buildings. They're crimes against a community."
Rabbi Poupko said that the Jewish community would not be intimidated and that Jewish life in the city will continue on a regular basis.
Vandals threw rocks and broke windows at the synagogues and the Yavne Academy. Montreal police are investigating the rampage, which was carried out despite surveillance cameras that have been installed at several Jewish buildings.
Windows have been smashed in the recent past, and a swastika was smeared on a synagogue last year.
Quebec has a long history of anti-Semitism. Montreal is overwhelming French-speaking, and the Anglo population has been dwindling over the past three decades, especially since the "separatist" movement grew more than 30 years ago.
South of the Canadian border, vandals spray painted a large swastika on a Connecticut synagogue last week, in what police said was a hate crime. U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal visited the synagogue and said, "An act of hatred like this one is not a prank. [It is] a criminal action."
An Egyptian Coptic leader says the government has "appeased" his community by sentencing to death a Muslim who murdered six Copts last year in a drive-by shooting.
Sunday's death verdict was handed down against Mohammed Ahmed Hassanein for the "premeditated murder" of six Copts and a Muslim guard in January 2010, as well as for the attempted murder of nine others who were wounded in the shooting spree
Tensions between the Coptic community and Egyptian Muslims reached the breaking point earlier this month when a bomb attack killed 22 people outside a Coptic church during a midnight mass service for the Coptic new year.
More violence last week resulted in the killing of a Christian by an off-duty Muslim policeman, although Egypt claims religion was not behind the murder.
The sentencing has alleviated some of the anger in the Coptic community, Coptic church leader Nagib Gobraeil told Al Jazeera. "The government is not doing us a favor. This is the minimum the Copts deserve… Legally, it is an appeasement…but in reality, our hearts are still bleeding [and] our tears are flowing over many other outstanding issues."
Last week, more than 1,000 Egyptian policemen in riot gear battled hundreds of Christian protesters, some of whom were seen being dragged away by authorities. Injuries were reported among the police and the protesters.
In a public display to calm tensions, thousands of Muslim acted as "human shields" the following night to protect Copts at a mass service celebrating their Christmas.

WikiLeaks: Iran Searching for Nuclear Bomb Materials (Reuters)
Iran has been developing contacts in more than 30 countries to acquire technology, equipment and raw materials needed to build a nuclear bomb, the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten said on Sunday, citing U.S. diplomatic cables.
More than 350 Iranian companies and organizations were involved in the pursuit of nuclear and missile technology between 2006 and 2010, according to the cables.
"A race exists between the bomb and [Iranian] financial collapse," a cable quoted a French nuclear expert as saying.
"Iran's limited domestic supply of uranium makes it practically impossible to supply the nation's current and future nuclear power plant capacity," said a U.S. State Depa rtment note from February 2009.
"Consequently, the Iranians are likely to be forced into dealing with foreign suppliers to get uranium for their domestic nuclear industry."
Report: South Africa Seeks Arrest of Former Israeli Foreign Minister (Ynet News)
The South African Media Review Network (MRN) is trying to secure an arrest warrant against Israeli opposition leader Tzipi Livni for her role in the Gaza war, a local news website reported Saturday.
Livni, who served as foreign minister during the Gaza operation, is due in South Africa this month at the invitation of the Jewish Board of Deputies.
We have "instructed our legal team to take all necessary measures to secure an arrest warrant and to pave the way for her prosecution," said MRN chairperson Iqbal Jassat.
Study: PA Highly Dependent on Foreign Aid - Gil Kol (Ynet News)
More than 60% of the Palestinian Authority's GNP comes from the U.S., EU, UN, World Bank and others countries, according to a study by economic analyst Eyal Ofer in cooperation with president of the Financial Immunities consulting firm Adam Roiter.
The Palestinian people receive the largest amount of donations worldwide. For every Palestinian citizen, the PA receives an average of $1,000 per year.
The data reinforces the claim that there is no Palestinian economy, and that in reality it is almost exclusively supported by the donation industry.
"The donations go toward the entrenchment of government institutions instead of the development of infrastructure, industry, human capital, etc.," explained Roiter. "What we have here is a schnorrer country, without which it does not exist."
"The funds go into the pockets of bureaucratic echelons and to the monstrous administrative apparatus that mostly deals with allocation of funds and fundraising."
PA Probes Palestinian Officials for Financial Malfeasance - Khaled Abu Toameh (Jerusalem Post)
A special commission entrusted with investigating financial corruption in the Palestinian Authority has begun studying cases involving some 80 senior officials including ministers serving in the current PA government, PA Prosecutor-General Ahmed al-Mughni announced.
News Resources - North America, Europe, and Asia:News Resources - Israel and the Mideast:
Over the past two years, Israel's nuclear facility in Dimona has served as a critical testing ground in a joint American and Israeli effort to undermine Iran's efforts to make a bomb of its own. "The reason the worm has been effective is that the Israelis tried it out," said an American expert on nuclear intelligence.
The retiring chief of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, Meir Dagan, told the Israeli Knesset in recent days that Iran had run into technological difficulties that could delay a bomb. The biggest single factor in putting time on the nuclear clock appears to be Stuxnet, the most sophisticated cyberweapon ever deployed.
The worm appears to have include d two major components. One was designed to send Iran's nuclear centrifuges spinning wildly out of control. The computer program also secretly recorded what normal operations at the nuclear plant looked like, then played those readings back to plant operators so that it would appear that everything was operating normally while the centrifuges were actually tearing themselves apart. Nor is it clear the attacks are over: Some experts believe the code contains the seeds for yet more assaults. (New York Times)

Russian nuclear scientists providing technical assistance to Iran's first nuclear power plant at Bushehr have raised serious concerns about the extensive damage caused to the plant's computer systems by t he Stuxnet virus. According to Western intelligence reports, Russian scientists warned the Kremlin that they could be facing "another Chernobyl" if they were forced to comply with Iran's deadline to activate the complex this summer.
Russian scientists working at the plant have become so concerned by Iran's apparent disregard for nuclear safety issues that they have lobbied the Kremlin to postpone activation until at least the end of the year, so that a proper assessment can be made of the damage caused to its computer operations by Stuxnet. Israel will not attack Iran, at least not in the next few years, first and foremost, because the U.S. opposes such a move. Israel will not attack Iran because most of its decision-makers are concerned that this could be disastrous, with massive missile barrages targeting Israeli population centers and strategic sites. It is gradually becoming clearer that, according to foreign reports, Israeli intelligence, in cooperation with its American counterparts, has made such a strike redundant. The intelligence operation achieved a significant delay in Iran's nuclear program without any casualties. (Ha'aretz)
Global Commentary and Think-Tank Analysis (Best of U.S., UK, and Israel):Observations:
The Palestinian Authority has turned down a request from the U.S. to refrain from seeking a UN Security Council resolution condemning settlements, chief PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat declared on Sunday. The U.S. has been putting pressure on the PA to refrain from going to the Security Council out of fear that such a move would have a negative impact on efforts to revive the stalled peace talks. "The Americans don't want us to present anything to the Security Council," Erekat said. "But we made it clear to them that, for us, the Security Council was a gate to international legitimacy." Israel has removed scaffolding which was limiting access to the Little Western Wall, a key Jewish site in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, officials said on Friday. The site is part of the same ancient wall that used to surround the Second Temple, and is considered holy by Jews. Each year, more than eight million people visit the Western Wall. (AFP)

The British government has invited Israel to submit a formal request that it investigate a London-based organization that Jerusalem accuses of being affiliated with Hamas and "complicit" in terrorist activities. Israel said the Palestine Return Center (PRC) was closely affiliated with Hamas and involved in "initiating and organizing violent activity against Israel in Europe while delegitimizing Israel's status as a nation among the European community." According to Israel, "the center functions as Hamas' organizational branch in Europe and its members are senior Hamas leaders who promote the movement's agenda in Europe, and directly interact with various Hamas leaders, particularly from Damascus."
The PRC was established in 1996 by Palestinian academic Salman Abu-Sitta. According to a report publis hed by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs last month, Abu-Sitta often equates Israel with Nazis and asserts that the "Palestinian Holocaust is unsurpassed in history." The report identifies five of the PRC's trustees as having a "clear" Muslim Brotherhood background. (Jerusalem Post)

Tunisia
What happened in Tunisia stunned and embarrassed Arab and Western countries alike. Tunisia was not a country made of revolutionary material. President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's government was stable and the economy prosperous. The country had expelled Rashad Anushi and the other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood after their party, Islamic Renewal, had obtained 17% of the vote in the 1987 elections. Since then, the West had seen in Ben Ali a bulwark against radical Islam. What no one wanted to see was that Ben Ali ruled with an iron fist and suffered neither legitimate opposition nor criticism. Corruption was rampant and the Ben Ali family, and that of his second wife Laila, were the principal beneficiaries.
Suddenly the world was looking at a successful popular Arab revolution. There had been revolutions in the Arab world since it became independent of foreign colonial powers, but they were all military coups. What happened in Tunisia was different. It was started by the people, not the leaders, and their spontaneous protest appears to have been an authentic popular uprising. Arab countries are worried. Royal and presidential palaces are wondering whether this revolution will be the harbinger of more. The writer is a former Israeli ambassador to Romania, Egypt and Sweden, and a fellow of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. (Jerusalem Post)
The violent events that reached a climax in Tunis on Friday aren't just the first full-fledged popular revolution the world has seen in some time - they're a sudden tear in the fabric of the Arab world, an irreparable rupture in the slick logic that has held two dozen countries in half-development limbo for generations. To most outside observers, the Tunisian uprising seemed to appear from nowhere. The people - and these were clearly ordinary citizens, not bearded Islamists or foreign-funded elites - won the day.
In the past, we've said that authoritarian leadership is part of Arabic culture and tradition and is, therefore, broadly accepted by Arabs in ways it wouldn't be by an yone else. And that the democratic option would inevitably lead to rule by radical Islamists. These two myths have led the West to provide backing, legitimacy and investment to Arab dictators for decades. (Globe and Mail-Canada)

In Tunisia, a popular uprising fueled by unemployment, economic suffering and long-term discontent has overthrown the dictator, but not necessarily the dictatorship. Is this going to spread? Does it mark some new phase in Arab politics? Probably not. Tunisia is a very distinctive country. Israel should not be fearing world opinion. Israel should be making the world fear (respect) her!!! And remember, it is the rich oil cartels who rule the world, NOT the Zionists!!

Going After the Jewish Children: Three synagogues, Jewish school and Daycare Attacked in Montreal/other news More Recent Articles
(Yeah, why don't the, ahem, "anti-Zionists" whine about the attacks on Jewish children? MBS) The Jews are fair game, as always before a great evil befalls us. Meanwhile,we have to suffer the propaganda of non-existent Muslim hate crime while rampant Islamic Jew-hatred goes virtually ignored.
Disgusting.
MONTREAL - Montreal police believe attacks against five Jewish institutions in the city on the weekend could be related.
Const. Raphael Bergeron says three synagogues, and a Jewish school and daycare located in the west-end areas of Cote St. Luc and Hampstead Montreal-West, had windows broken.
He says the attacks took place sometime between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
No arrests have been made.
Bergeron says police believe the same suspect or suspects were behind all the attacks.
Police have no eyewitnesses but say they will examine surveillance video from one of the premises or from nearby businesses.
It is not lost on me that the Hamas group CAIR would hijack the annual day of remembrance from the passionate zionist and anti-supremacist, Dr. Martin Luther King. They have no shame and no respect for anyone or anything except advancing Islam and the sharia in the West.
CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator and Muslim Brotherhood proxy in the largest Hamas funding trial in US history. Acccording to a captured internal document entered into evidence in that trial, their stated goal is "eliminating and destroying western civilizartion from within."
CAIR is vulger, debased and utterly morally bankrupt, but they know that the corrupt black leadership like Sharpton and Jackson will go along, because they are demagogues as well. Dr. King would despise them. The treatment of black people in Islamic societies is abhorrent -- they are abid, slaves.
Hamas group CAIR has chosen a close confident and "beloved" mentor of the new Ground Zero imam Abdullah Adhami, Siraj Wahhaj, terrorist supporting, unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, as their keynote speaker.
How anti-King.
Move over MLK Jr Day, CAIR makes it Muslim Capitol Day Creeping (Hat tip Diane)
CAIR bills itself as a "civil rights" organization although it is not. If the issue doesn't benefit Muslims, Islam or sharia, you can bet CAIR is nowhere to be seen. That's why it's no surprise that they have hijacked the MLK, Jr. holiday and converted it into Muslim Capitol Day.
Not only that, but CAIR has chosen a terrorist supporting, unindicted co-conspirator to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as their keynote speaker. What politicians plan on participating in this event with CAIR and the terror-supporting Siraj Wahhaj? From CAIR Seattle's website:
Featuring: Imam Siraj Wahhaj who will join us during the day's events and will be the keynote speaker during the lunch/fundraiser. Also featuring various state legislators TBA.
Yes, that is the same Siraj Wahhaj that sharia-promoting Ground Zero mosque imam Faisal Rauf's replacement has close ties with.
Wahhaj's profile from Discover the Networks:
In September 1991 Wahhaj stated the following:
"…And [Allah] declared 'Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.' … Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe…. Hear what I'm telling you well. The Americans are not your friends … The Canadians are not your friends … The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the Messenger and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion …"
In a 1992 address to an audience of Muslims in New Jersey, Wahhaj expressed his desire to see Muslims seize control of the United States and replace its constitutional government with an Islamic caliphate. "If we were united and strong," Wahhaj said, "we'd elect our own emir [leader] and give allegiance to him…. [T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us."
In the summer of 1999, Wahhaj testified as a character witness for convicted terror mastermind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman. Wahhaj stated, on the record, that he considered it an honor to have had an opportunity to host Abdel-Rahman at his mosque, describing the latter as a "respected scholar … bold … [and] a strong preacher of Islam."
…In October 1995, Rahman was convicted (along with nine co-defendants) of planning to wage a "war of urban terrorism" against the United States…
Listen to this Siraj Wahhaj speech where he states Islam commands jihad of the true soldiers of Allah (SoA)…and says Muslims all over the world are getting their butts kicked, except those Muslims in Afghanistan.
More on Wahhaj in these previous Creeping Sharia posts.
Be sure that CAIR's dream is nothing like Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream. Nothing at all.PROTEST THIS MOSQUESTROSITY

AFDI/SIOA VICTORY: RAUF OUT!: Ground Zero Mosquestrosity Names New Imam: Abdullah Adhami UPDATE: Daisy the Khan Out, too
Earlier on Friday I broke the story of the connection between the new Ground Zero mosque imam Abdullah Adhami and the World Trade Center bombing co-conspirator imam Siraj Wahhaj. Abdullah is so enamoured with the terror imam that he volunteered to design the masjid At-Taqwa, where Imam Siraj Wahaj incites his followers. This further
Jamie Glazov of Front Page Magazine was on Fox and Friends this morning discussing what Atlas exposed on Friday about the Ground Zero Mosquestrosity's new imam Abdullah Adhami, who calls co-conspirator in '93 WTC bombing Siraj Wahhaj "Our Beloved Imam": "Siraj Wahhaj is the voice of the spirit of Islam in America and its pride."
"While Imam Feisal's vision has a global scope and his ideals for the Cordoba movement are truly exceptional, our community in Lower Manhattan is local," said Mr. Gamal, referring to the imam's longstanding work in promoting interfaith understanding. "Our focus is and must remain the residents of Lower Manhattan and the Muslim American community in the greater New York area."
The imam's efforts have taken him on State Department speaking tours in the Middle East. On Saturday, he was to begin a United States speaking tour.
Paid for by US taxpayers.
The differences between the imam and Mr. Gamal have been evident on a wide range of issues for many months, said Muzaffar A. Chishti, director of the Migration Policy Institute at the New York University School of Law and a friend of Mrs. Khan and her husband. The two men have differed over the size of the project, its commercial or noncommercial character, and whether it would be primarily a place for Muslims or for people of many faiths, he said.
But the divide was most apparent in the different names each leader has used for the project. The imam has always referred to the proposed Islamic center and mosque as the Cordoba House. To Mr. Gamal, a businessman and real estate developer, it is Park51.
In his announcement, Mr. Gamal said Friday services at the temporary mosque now operating in the building, previously conducted by Mr. Abdul Rauf when he was in town, would now be run by an imam, Abdallah Adhami, who has served another Lower Manhattan mosque for many years.
The new Ground Zero mosque imam's "beloved" mentor was a character witness in the trial of convicted terror plotter Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman.
Julie Menin, chairwoman of Community Board 1, which approved the Muslim center last spring, said Mr. Gamal, as owner of the property, had the right to "do as he wishes" on his project. Whether the reduced roles of Mr. Abdul Rauf and Ms. Khan would affect support, Ms. Menin said, "It's too soon to know."
Menin has no shame. She is a disgrace. More here.
Mr. Chishti, however, suggested that the prospects for raising the estimated $100 million it might cost to build the center would be diminished. "The groundswell of support we saw over the summer for this project was not a wave of support for a developer's rights," Mr. Chishti said. "It was support for a vision that was articulated by Imam Feisal."
Here's the level of "support" they saw last summer:
Neither Mr. Abdul Rauf nor Mr. Gamal would agree to an interview on Friday, but each had someone speak on his behalf.
That snake is always hiding unless the deck is stacked. Notice that no mention is made in the Times of the lawsuits filed against him for defaulting on two different bank loans. And the predictable apologists at The Times also failed to mention that Sharif El-Gamal has not paid $224,270.77 in back property tax on the site, city records show.
Leyla Turkkan, a spokesman for Mr. Abdul Rauf, said the imam and his wife would "continue their leadership work in creating the Cordoba House," and their efforts "to help build broader connection and understanding among people of all faiths."
By most accounts, both Mr. Abdul Rauf and Mr. Gamal were surprised over the summer when their project drew such emotionally charged opposition, despite receiving the approval of Community Board 1 and the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
They were "surprised" when a 15-story mega-mosque at Ground Zero sparked pain and outrage.
Pamela Geller, a blogger who marshaled much of the opposition to what she termed "the ground zero victory mosque," said the pushing aside of Mr. Abdul Rauf would not change much.
"It doesn't matter whose face is out front," she said. "We're still against it."
In February 2009, the left foamed at the mouth when I told Ron Reagan on The Joy Behar show that his father would not be proud of him. It was a leftwing feeding frenzy -- as if the left was capable of understanding (let alone articulating) what Ronald Reagan was talking about.
Chec out this news story at Politico today:
Ronald Reagan's conservative son called his liberal half-brother "an embarrassment" Saturday for speculating in a new memoir that their father suffered from Alzheimer's disease while president.
"Ron, my brother was an embarrassment to his father when he was alive and today he became an embarrassment to his mother," Michael Reagan posted on Twitter.
"My brother seems to want [to] sell out his father to sell books," he added in another tweet.
The sibling tension bubbles over just three weeks before Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday, which will kick off a year of events to honor the 40th president.
In "My Father at 100," Ron Reagan recalls early warning signs of his father losing his mental faculties. "The question," he writes, "of whether my father suffered from the beginning stages of Alzheimer's while in office more or less answers itself.
This Assyrian Catholic church was taken over by jihadis, and during the course of the several hours during which they controlled the church, the insurgents killed many of the worshippers, until the Iraqi army forces finally stormed the building.
Amir wrote me,
The reason why someone like Daisy Khan can make the outrageous statement that "the era of extremism is over" is because ethnic cleansing, mass slaughter, Islamic supremacism and genocide is not extreme, but Islamic purity. Islamic scholar Mark Durie reports further on the mass slaughter of Christians praying in St. Mary's church by Muslims in Baghdad.
The massacre of Christians at Our Lady of Salvation Cathedral in Baghdad on October 31 2010 gained extensive world-wide media attention. This Assyrian Catholic church was taken over by jihadis, and during the course of the several hours during which they controlled the church, the insurgents killed many of the worshippers, until the Iraqi army forces finally stormed the building.
"Islam requires that every Muslim observe and live under Divine Law, yet many cultures are not receptive to this life. Many Muslims are prohibited from governing themselves under the principles of their own faith. We must combat intolerance to spread acceptance of Sharia across the world. "
Here's how they are going to shove the sharia down your kafir throat (from MEAC: Muslim Education Action Center): hat tip Western feminista
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
In other words, if you do not accept living under the most radical, extreme ideology on the earth, Islamic (sharia) law, than you are filled with "confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination."
If you study Islam and know and understand the sharia and attempt to educate others, much the way I and others (Robert Spencer, Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sultan, et al) have done, then you are filled with "confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination."
If you oppose the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque, than you are filled with "confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination."
If you expose their agenda and you expose the Islamic supremacists and Muslim Brotherhood proxies like CAIR, MAS, ISNA, ICNA, Imam Rauf, Daisy Khan, et al, than you are filled with "confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination." Did you see Daisy Khan's vile Islamic propaganda in Reader's Digest (of all places)? The media has signed our death warrant as a civilization.
More from MEAC:
Amidst these perilous times for Islam in America, MEAC has come a long way in recent years thanks to the tremendous leadership and generousity of Chairman Bin Talal, his associates, and his family. MEAC Trust holdings have nearly tripled under his tenure and continue to grow, ensuring that as the Islamic way of life is increasingly threatened in America, MEAC will have the means to respond and continue to protect the vision of our founders.
I'd rather blow up the world than live as a slave. As for Bin Talal, we have to stop financing our executioners. Enough dollars for jihad. We need to throw the left-enemy out of power and start drilling and mining our own resources. We must throw off the shackles that the enemy within has enslaved us with.
UPDATE: Troubling note on the subversion and how these groups cross-pollinate and are one, in fact operating from the same Islamic playbook (the qur'an):
How creepy is all this? MEAC, ISNA, Rauf -- stealth jihad.

As you may or may not have noticed, the Obama Administration has appointed a "Special envoy to combat anti-Semitism," Hannah Rosenthal. Jennifer Rubin interviewed her for the Washington Post today. Rubin writes,
I began with a simple question: What are the consequences for countries in Europe, South America and the Middle East that spew anti-Semitic rhetoric or condone and encourage anti-Semitism? In a lengthy interview, I never quite got an answer. She responded that her own hiring is more than "a baby step." She said that it is important that she has a "seat at the table" and has "made major observations" in her year on the job. She touted her ability to spur non-Jewish leaders to speak out about anti-Semitism. That is all very commendable, but what are the consequences for those who persist in peddling anti-Semitism?
The State Department employs Natan Sharansky's methodology for distinguishing anti-Israel criticism from anti-Semitism. Namely, language or conduct that demonizes, delegitimizes or imposes a double-standard on the Jewish state is anti-Semitism. Rosenthal enthusiastically described internal training for State Department officials to help them understand the distinction. — Washington Post
The State Department and Rosenthal are missing Sharansky's point, which was that most anti-Zionism today simply is an expression of antisemitism, even if pictures of identifiable Jews eating babies are left out. They are devoting far too much effort to carefully distinguish between antisemitism and anti-Zionism, not so much to condemn antisemitism as to justify anti-Zionism.
It is important to understand that calls for Israel to be replaced by an Arab or Islamic state, whether they come from Fatah, Hamas, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Noam Chomsky, are both political — anti-Zionist — and antisemitic.
The alliance between Hitler and the Grand Mufti al-Husseini, as well as the protection of Nazi war criminals by Arab states after WWII points to the identity between Jew-haters and Israel-haters.
So I am going to tell you what I would like to hear someone associated with the administration say. I doubt that Rosenthal, a former member of the board of the phony 'pro-Israel' group J Street, would agree:
In 1948, after almost 2000 years, Jewish sovereignty was re-established in the historical land of Israel. Today, antisemitic hatred and fear of the Jewish people as individuals (or members of an imagined conspiratorial community) has become focused on the Jewish state, the concrete manifestation of the Jewish people in the political world.
The primary manifestation of antisemitism today, then, is anti-Zionism: the concerted attempt to delegitimize the Jewish state in order to weaken it and thus deny self-determination and self-defense to the Jewish people.
The US affirms the proposition that anti-Zionism is antisemitism, and that it will support the right of the Jewish people to defend and keep its state in its historical homeland.
A demand for self-determination for a Palestinian Arab people is only acceptable insofar as it does not conflict with or detract from the right of the Jewish people to live peacefully in the Jewish state of Israel.
I'm not holding my breath.
