You might want to try clear nail polish. At one time the Sally Hansen brand was recommended but I'm not sure if that is still available. Llweyn

I tried the Future floor wax once on a sample of beads that were galvanized and it ate the color off and changed the color of the wax.  Turned in to a real icky mess.
