Hi Rick,
I would believe that if you could see a warp on this size metal over a couple of days, you must either have a pretty nasty piece of metal, or subjected it to extreme temperatures.
Any thoughts as to "pushing" it a bit and put it in the kitchen oven with the next roast? <smile>
Kind regards,
DBN

I'm not so sure what I've got for metal. The label doesn't even say CRS or HRS. I guess it is CRS because there is no scale.
I took a 3" length of it and milled the top and bottom long edges. Then I used my one precision 3" square as my reference plus some HiSpot to find where it was out. It didn't take much draw filing to true it up. When done, I see no light between the two edges and both this square and another one I have with a knife edge.
So maybe I should now wait a few days and see if it warps?
Rick
