Hi Patty,

You can use the thread you like. I've tried Nymo and Fireline and they both work just great.

Normally I only use 1 edge weft thread but you can warp so there are 2 weft threads if you prefer.

It may be best to do your first project as the instructions shows.. then after you understand how everything works then change things up and HAVE FUN!!!
