Carl that"s rubbish. merchantilism? It's a capitalist country, and I don't know were you get the idea capitalists have smaller Governments. I think Rumsfeld and Cheyney were greedy, uncaring, narcissitic super capitilists, not caring anything for their fellow man, but only their own wealth.

What we have in America is merchantilism not capitalism. The government
regulates people for business. Look at the change in the Bankrupsy law.
If we had capitolism we would have more liberty because the government
would be 10% of its current size and little or no federal debt.
