Has anyone looked at www.hobbing.com? They have some software to download that is focused on gear design, actually several pieces of software. I'm not at my PC right now and it is a Mac anyways so we need a community effort here to see if this is worthwhile.
The web site is in Korea so there is some rough points. However it looks like they are really into gear engineering.
