Rick, Thanks for the link on your Shaper build. I was wondering if the bolt you ran through the ram to clamp it down worked. You state in the PDF file that you used Loctite to hold the bold in place so did this work?
Thanks,
Brian

On page 64 you see the Ram Clamp has two 1" x 2" x 1/4" plates with a hole drilled near the bottom corner (the links bolt to this hole). The Yoke was hitting the bottom corner of this piece. So I rounded the corner off with an angle grinder, & now it runs just fine. In fact I moved the slide block up to 1/16" from the top of the Yoke & it still worked great. Anyway, thanks for all the help.

I am just about ready to plan the work table, but when I set the Ram for its longest stroke I get about a 3/4 turn and it jams just as soon as it hits the forward stroke. The jam is not cause by the slide block in the Yoke, because when I take the ram/clamp off it moves just fine. I am thinking that it is jamming somewhere between the Ram Clamp & the Yoke. The plans call for the 2 Links that join the Yoke to the Ram Clamp (pg. 65) to be 2-1/8" long. I made mine 2-1/4" long (did not realize I did this until I took it apart). So are these links to long, or should I make them a little longer? I have rounded the ends of both the Yoke & Ram Clamp as much as I dare thinking that they may be hitting, but that did not help. So any ideas PLEASE!!!!
