2041 - one projected completion time in Barcelona, Spain.
2011 - on June 26 I read of this in Home Touch, a weekly that is into inspiring messages. To write of a building to be completed thirty years into the future seems a bit much so I will ask Wikipedia for help.
In total 18 towers will be built, the tallest will reach a height of 170m/560ft. Currently the tallest tower is 120m/394ft. The church is 60m wide and 95m long. (197 x 312 ft). Capacity 9000.
2010 - construction at mid-point. Sept. - Interior finished, so church can and does host a service of worship.
1883 - Antoni Gaudí took over, devoted his last years to the project, and at the time of his death in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. He earned being remembered as THE architect.
1882 - Construction started.
1872 - A Catalan bookseller, Josep Maria Bocabella, founder of Asociación Espiritual de Devotos de San José (Spiritual Association of Devotees of St. Joseph), visited the Vatican in 1872, and returned from Italy with the intention of building a church inspired by that at Loreto.
