No you can´t use amonium cloride as a flux for aluminum.
you can use salt (sodium cloride), and a good flux is 70 % salt, 10% sodium carbonate and 10 sodium silicofloride.
in my case I use Only salt, as the fume and smoke, (oddors) are nule.

I work at a Galvanizing plant, we use ammonium cloride as a flux. Can I use this for my aluminum casting?
