Thanks for the replies. I have a box of washing soda(use it for a
electrolitic rust removal process), so I'm set there. I will need to buy
some losalt. I always make ingots first, better for storage anyway.

I also have been thinking of mixing in a small amount of zinc to see if I
can improve machineability, but not sure; the aluminum I have poured mills
decently already.
