Yes that could be your problem. Turn your crank to the point it locks up and get a flash light and look at that point that is too long. If it is the problem just cut 1/4" off and try again. Good luck with the build, you have come tooo far to stop now.

I have the Shaper & Counter Shaft mounted to a bench. I am just about ready to plan the work table, but when I set the Ram for its longest stroke I get about a 3/4 turn and it jams just as soon as it hits the forward stroke. The jam is not cause by the slide block in the Yoke, because when I take the ram/clamp off it moves just fine. I am thinking that it is jamming somewhere between the Ram Clamp & the Yoke. The plans call for the 2 Links that join the Yoke to the Ram Clamp (pg. 65) to be 2-1/8" long. I made mine 2-1/4" long (did not realize I did this until I took it apart). So are these links to long, or should I make them a little longer? I have rounded the ends of both the Yoke & Ram Clamp as much as I dare thinking that they may be hitting, but that did not help. So any ideas PLEASE!!!!
Brian
