I've posted pictures in my album "JohnWa".
The button has a slot in it with threads only cut in one end. A set of leaf springs pushes it off center to the hole in the housing so the threads grab. When the button is pushed the threaded part is pushed outside of the radius of the hole in the housing. I don't think it will carry the same sort of loads as the one I provided a link to but for light duty it is quick to adjust and holds its position.
