Hi April,
So sorry to hear about this problem. I'm in Canada so every time I get a parcel from the US it has the weight written on the mailing label or Customs label. If you have an itemized invoice that says the weight of all items in your order and that differs from the weight of the parcel when it arrived then you have some proof. Keep everything that came in the parcel even packing materials.
I would give them some time to research what happened to your order. Daily emails and phone calls sometimes give us the opposite result than what we want. You have to remember you are not their only customer and if they really are this incompetent they must be inundated with complaints. Having said that you have been waiting for some response for quite some time and I can feel your frustration. It might be worth checking them out on the Better Business Bureau Website. I looked at the Dollar Bead website and couldn't find any bricks and mortar address anywhere. Do you have one on the mailing label on your parcel?
Here in Canada we have legal aid for the poor, that's me, and we can get advice and help for free. It never ceases to amaze me how much and how quickly things change when a lawyer gets involved. Maybe you have the same service where you live.
Try to stay calm, eventually this will be sorted out and it is not worth making yourself sick over it. I was freaked out for 6+ weeks when I first ordered from Fire Mountain and the parcel didn't arrive, it turned out Canada Customs were on a go slow and eventually my parcel did arrive almost 7 weeks later. It was worth the wait, the beads were fantastic.
Let us know what happens. Good luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Sue from Canada
