What a surprised! Thanks for the illustrations and effort to try it out :)
Just a word of caution, the bore hole may wonder off the center.
Hence, is better to pre-drill 0.5mm larger drill a bit deeper as a
guide for the flat drill to sit properly at center.
Should the counter-bore is off. One can safe the job either turn the
socket cap scew head slightly smaller or bore the hole much bigger.
