By the way I have had broken and shattered some of my cutters. And they are not an operatorsâ friend at all when they get too close. Hopefully only our pride get hurt.

Nelson, my first love is metal working. However the smell of wood has great attraction. A few months ago a new wood lathe followed me home and like any new toy, presented me with more options.
You might recall some time ago I showed a new ball cutting attachment for my wood lathe. Someone asked about powder coating and the ball cutter just happened to be the project I was working on at the time and seemed like a good candidate for powder coating.
The offset chuck was one of the devices that I need to do ornamental turning. To make the thing safe to use, a slow speed motor is going to have to be added to my Delta wood lathe and then use a motor and router bits to cut the odd shapes.
Over the years my shop has allowed me to make many goodies, gadgets and gizmos that weren't available or too expensive.
Life is good!
