Rick,
The paint on the Shaper is holding up good so far. Do have a few scrapes, but that's from me hitting it with something. Anyway, when the part was ready to paint I brushed it down with a brass wire brush & blew it off with the compressor, than I cleaned the entire piece with isopropyl alcohol & let it dry for about a day then I painted it (2 coats). I'm about to do that on the lathe as well.
