Yes, a fairly new feature that yahoo has provided so the uploader can retract the message from the online group. Those who get a digest email will have access until they delete that email from their machine/ server! This helps some of us to delete a message that was intended to go elsewhere. As far as files/photos go you have the choice to have them fiddled with by anyone or only the moderater and the person uploading.
I often delete photos/ files that are outdated or off topic from my folders as they are of little use to anyone including myself!
