Accurcy is affectd by a lot of things on a machine.
How stiff the bed is , how much clearence is in the spindle bearing,
And other things that crop up in construction of the machine.
Even heat in the work will change the size of the part.
It takes time to run a machine with any skill.

Now you have me interested. I have never done an assessment of the accuracy of my shaper but I will do that now. It would be a useful bit of information for anyone wishing to build such a machine for any serious work. I already know you can't push it much. A lot does depend on having a very sharp cutter and low feed rate.
