*took the star pattern further and added an additional row of bugle and
seed beads, which resulted in a beaded web pattern:

web pendant pattern

size 11 seed beads

size 1 or 2 bugle beads (the longer the bugle bead, the larger the
pendant will be naturally)

size 12 beading needle

beading thread

base row: string 14 seed beads to form a circle and tie a half-hitch
knot in the thread between 2 of the seed beads; string thread through
the base row one more time and pull taught. (this number of the base row
formed a 13 point web, you can always go larger or smaller if you wish)

1st point:

pull needle and thread through one of the beads of the base row and
string 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead, 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead, 1 bugle
bead. 1 seed bead, 1 bugle and 4 seed beads. pull needle through the
first seed bead of the last 4, this closes the end point forming a 4
bead cross/cluster. then string 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead, 1 bugle bead,
1 seed bead (ladder stitch join this seed bead with the seed beed
parallel to it), 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead and 1 bugle bead; pull needle
through the bead on the base row and pull taught.

2nd point:

starting with next base row bead, thread 1 bugle bead and 1 seed bead,
then run needle through seed bead of first petal using ladder stitch,
pulling taught. then add the next 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead, 1 bugle
bead, 1 seed bead (ladder stitch join this seed bead with the seed bead
parallel to it, forming a "joint"), 1 bugle bead and 4 seed beads to
form the point cluster; then string 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead and 1
bugle bead, 1 seed bead (ladder stitch join this seed bead with the seed
beed parallel to it), 1 bugle bead, 1 seed bead and 1 bugle bead to
complete the 2nd point, pulling needle through the next base row seed
bead.

continue the 2nd point step until you've gone all the way around the
base row; this should form 13 web points when completed.

pendant loop:

run the needle and thread through to the end of one of the cluster
points and string 10 seed beads, going back through the first seed bead
to form the loop; normally I run the thread through this beaded loop at
least 2 to 3 times for added stability.

(optional) closing the center of the web:

pulling the needle and thread down to the base row of the pendant, add
one seed bead and skip a bead, pulling the needle through; keep adding 1
bead and sewing it through every other bead until you've gone around the
base row once. then pull your needle and thread through each bead just
added to the base row and pull closed taughtly; you can even go through
this 2nd row twice to stabilize it more.

pull the needle through one of the seed beads of the 2nd center row and
string 4 seed beads; sew into one of the seed beads directly across the
center circle and string 4 more seed beads and sew into one of the seed
beads back across the center circle. run the needle in a ladder stitch
between these last two rows of 4 seed beads closing up the center.

to make the entire pendant a little more sturdy I usually run the needle
and thread through the entire outline of the petals, pulling taught as I
go and then tying off the thread in a half hitch knot and hiding it
inside the next bead before cutting my thread.

*the photo is in my album, Angielina's beads, titled purple web pendant.
