Well you sure have some home grown ones now! Especially the mad christians in their compounds, with women wearing neck to knee gowns and "mating" with whomever the leader decrees.  That is one thing we don't have much of here. The closest thing we have are the "closed brethen" No tv, radios, and the women don't cut there hair, and have to wear a kerchief on their heads. No cosmetics. Notice how most of these wacko religions are paternalistic?

It was a British penal colony if I'm not mistaken

You can lead people to knowledge but you can't make them think

Europe has been flooded with refugees from the wars in iraq and afghanistan.
Scandinavia has changed it's laws to try and prevent it being as big a problem for them.

Big probs in France, where getto's and demonstrations have sprung up,  Italy and spain.

People in Australia winge about the boat loads of refugees we get which are taken to detention centres, where they demonstrate and stage hunger strikes. however it is such a small number compared to europe.
Our lawsw state that children cannot be kept in detention and must go to school. I guess we hope the education will break the cycle.

Europe's socialism has some good points except that it permitted foreign
workers and too much foreign immigration
