As a private pilot I had to see guages overhead as well as on the dash panel, and of coarse always looking for other traffic at distance. I had bi-foclas top and bottom and distance inbetween. When your paying the bill it shouldn't be their choose the area for vision correction! I no longer pilot due to health issues but still wear progressive lens for my hobby stuff!
