Yes, the tips as well as the legs. I had to reshape the tips a bit when I got them. Although I think I should have made the outside calipers more chisel shaped than rounded.
I had assumed that the flat, chisel-shape for inside calipers was a problem; glad that someone else did the math.
(As a footnote, I do wish I had a CMM. I've enjoyed playing/practicing with these things but it's kind of like scraping. It was fun to learn and rewarding to actually get a decent (to my untrained eyes) result. But, it would be nicer to have a really good surface grinder to do it.)
