Has any one ever tried to use polyurethane the stuff they use on paint and stained wood? I used it on stuff when I made thimbles but haven't had the nerve to try it on beads.

You might want to try clear nail polish. At one time the Sally Hansen brand was recommended but I'm not sure if that is still available. Llweyn

I tried the Future floor wax once on a sample of beads that were galvanized and it ate the color off and changed the color of the wax. Turned in to a real icky mess.
