I think that gays in the military should be allowed to say they are gay. The problem is when people of either homo or heterosexual orientation act on their sexual urges. There is nothing wrong with a person saying he or she is homosexual. As long as the person doesn't act on that in the military environment things should be fine. No flirting should be allowed and no sex in the military either
