Hi George-
It seems that a complete parts/hardware/material list is not written in the books. Maybe someone who has built one can tell you the rough weight?
I do recall that each casting was supposed to be less than 1 quart of material so you may be able to guesstimate wha you will need.
I am in the middle of the shaper build.
Just to take a stab at it, I woudl guess maybe 6 ot 8 quarts of aluminum is cast? and a quart is about 6 pounds of aluminum so that puts it at 36 to 48 pounds of castings?
I think 4 or 5 push mower engines may yield enough for one machine? I just try to keep several quarts of slugs cast ahead of time before I make molds and pour castings to be sure I have enough.
Best wishes
Bradley
