Congressman Introduces Bill to Force Obama to Deploy at Least 10,000 National Guardsmen at Mexican Border
Monday, October 04, 2010
By Terence P. Jeffrey
(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Ted Poe (R.-Texas), who served for 30 years as a Texas prosecutor and judge before being elected to Congress, introduced legislation last week designed to force President Barack Obama to deploy a minimum of 10,000 National Guard troops at the U.S. Mexico border for the specific purpose of patrolling the border and intercepting aliens and smugglers attempting to cross illegally into the United States.
The legislation would allow the president to deploy more than 10,000 National Guardsmen, but not fewer, and would leave the National Guard troops under the supervision of the governor in the border state where they are deployed

Senator Menendez Introduces Amnesty Bill Day Before Congressional Recess
email imageIn a final attempt to woo amnesty advocates into the voting booths this November, Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), the Senate Democratic Campaign Committee Chairman, introduced an amnesty bill late Wednesday evening as Congress was poised to recess for the midterm elections. The 874-page bill, entitled Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2010, would exponentially increase the number of immigrants in the country to unprecedented levels by granting amnesty to the estimated 13 million illegal aliens currently in the U.S., permitting them to bring in their spouses, children, and other relatives from other countries, and by issuing hundreds of thousands of new green cards through the process the authors call "recapture."

Georgia Debates Barring Illegal Aliens from Attending State Universities
email imageA special committee formed by the Georgia Board of Regents, the body of Georgia's state government that oversees the University of Georgia system, recommended last week that illegal aliens be prohibited from attending the state's publicly funded colleges and universities. The committee also recommended that all Georgia colleges and universities verify whether admitted students seeking in-state tuition are in the country legally (illegal aliens are not eligible for in-state tuition in Georgia). The recommendation arose following increasing concerns over the costs of illegal aliens residing in the state.

Internal Memo Suggests Ways To Bypass Congress On Immigration | Print |  E-mail

Anger over illegal immigration, including that from thousands of senior supporters of TSCL, is throwing a monkey wrench into Congressional efforts to pass immigration amnesty legislation this year.  But the Obama Administration appears to be bent on considering actions it could take without Congressional approval to achieve its objectives anyway, including giving permanent resident status and "green cards" to large numbers of people in the country illegally.

Recently an internal draft memo, prepared for the head of the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS), was made public by a group of Senators who are demanding that Congress hold a hearing to investigate.  The memo, prepared by four senior officials in the USCIS, lists ways the government could help certain categories of illegal immigrants achieve permanent legal residence status and green cards—absent reform.  "In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, CIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations," the memo said.

A spokesman for the USCIS said the document was only a draft memo and should not be equated with actual policy.  But critics, including TSCL, say that the memo gives credence to the concern that the administration would try to execute a "back-door amnesty" plan that could add significant long-term costs to Social Security and Medicare.

A green card is an identification card issued to aliens in the U.S. who are in the process of becoming a permanent resident.  It serves as proof that the cardholder has officially been granted permission to reside and take employment in the U.S.— the very two things illegal workers must have to claim Social Security benefits.  Under current law, benefits claimed by former illegal workers may be based, at least in part, on unauthorized work.  When determining entitlement to Social Security benefits, the Social Security Administration uses all earnings, even for jobs worked while the immigrant was illegal.

TSCL strongly opposes extending green cards to illegal immigrants by Administrative rule changes, and instead supports legislation that would protect Social Security by banning work credits based on unauthorized work.  Take Action! FOREIGNERS IN THE UNIVERSE

Respected friend!!!
Allow me to greet you firstly, and to ask you for your health, family and love. If they are good, it might mean that also business, profit, success or anything will be very god.
Do you remember them? They Katchoo and Francine. Two women in a world full of men who despise from the bottom of the soul (except in special cases). Last time we saw them more than a year in the album titled "Life is beautiful. Album ending story begun in the dream. Since then, waiting for us again point out. No older than they were, still angry at everything around him, a strange love triangle that has yet to unravel (or snag). Strangers in Paradise is one of those comics that really needs attention. The vast majority of what ends up on the shelves of bookstores are visually coded, if with anything, what a cover. You know you want to Spawn, Ramiro 30 days or night by making you read you stories about superheroes, medieval, or vampires. On the cover of "foreigners" is not nothing but the occasional person, the book is silent, and only when you take a browse in the arm and she gets to speak. At a cursory glance, not saying much. Inside are some women, some men, close-ups and totals, sometimes clear and sometimes chaotic; occasional caricatures and a few detailed studies of one's face, which all together constitute the symbolic chaos of meaninglessness that force you to stop and read a few pages to see what is it all about. Does watching Lost? Do you remember the sentences that describe the false Locke? "If you let him speak, but almost." So it is with "foreigners" - once you immerse yourself in their world, there is no return.

"I dream of you" is our heroine left the existential and emotional crisis. "Messy" Katchooina past has finally emerged into view, and the skeletons in the closet for years hidden in the bottom of the attic, finally began to move. "Life is Beautiful" is charged with the consequences of this crisis and we once again clearly demonstrates why we love him so much. Katchoo released from the hospital, Francine is still haunted by ex-boyfriend, David re-enters their lives and ultimately, Francine and Katchoo Hundredth have to declare to one another. Thus outlined, "Strangers in Paradise," reminiscent of the American teen soap opera. Love triangles, crime plot, emotional outbursts and the quest for true love and soul mate. But "Aliens" are far from it. Thanks Moorevom scripting skills, papiranti characters who speak from these pages get the forms and colors of people of flesh and blood.
